Universal
The sight of the Universal intro is something which many recognise today. Mainly due to its dominance in the film industry, the sight of the iconic 'Universal' text being revealed over the Earth has been used in many films today. This intro represents several different elements for Universal.
The font chosen is heavy and bold which represents the strength of Universal's brand. The text moves over the Earth in order to represent the diversity of the films which Universal distributes. The overall sight of the clip shows the whole universal logo wrap around half of the planet, this could suggest that this company handles most of the entertainment within the planet.
Examples of the films this company has distributed are: Jaws, Dracula, King Kong and Frankenstein.

Paramount
The Paramount intro is well-recognised today due to Paramount's wide range of films which they have distributed. To many people, this intro represents a strong financial position and is seen as grand, expensive and professional.
In the intro, several stars can be seen moving over a cloudy night sky before joining together on top of Mount Everest. The use of this scene represents the vast amount of films which they distribute. As Everest is tall, it suggests that Paramount has a large global reach and so is able to distribute easily worldwide.
Paramount have distributed several films such as: What Lies Beneath, Friday The 13th and The Haunting.

Empire Studios
When making Pentagram Pictures we came up with the name Empire Studios as the distribution company name, Above here is the logo for the Distribution that we made.
One of our main inspirations for this intro is the Universal Studios opening, this was because it symbolised the idea that the company has a global reach and this makes it really effective. The sound is effective because it gives a range of emotion not making the distribution company zoom in on one genre of film.
