Who is he?
Wheeler Winston Dixon (born March 12, 1950) is an American filmmaker and scholar. He is an expert on film history, theory and critism. His scholarship has particular emphasis on François Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, American experimental cinema and horror films. He has written extensively on numerous aspects of film, including his books A Short History of Film and A History of Horror.

Wheeler Winston Dixon came up with the theory that within begining of the film the charcters are not really characters they are the sites of horror and gore, this means that the character isn't there to be a character they are there to show the killers how they kill people and what distinguishes this killer from others.
